Overview
Visio turns complicated processes into diagrams people can actually read. Drag shapes onto the canvas, connect them, and you have a flowchart, an org chart, a network diagram, or a floor plan. The Professional edition adds the templates and stencils that technical teams rely on.
This tier includes everything in Visio Standard plus advanced diagram types: UML 2.5, BPMN 2.0, database and ERD models, cloud architecture for Azure and AWS, and engineering, electrical, and P&ID drawings. You can also link diagrams to live data sources, including SQL Server, so shapes update as the underlying numbers change.
LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) means the feature set is fixed at the 2024 release. You receive security fixes but not new features, and the licence does not include upgrades to future versions. It is a stable, one-time purchase for people who want the software to stay the way they installed it.
