Overview
Viva Engage is the enterprise social layer of Microsoft 365 and the direct successor to Yammer. Each licensed user can join communities built around teams, projects, or shared interests, post to a personal storyline, react and comment on conversations, and find answers to questions from across the organisation.
Because Viva Engage runs inside Microsoft Teams, Outlook, the web, and the mobile apps, employees take part without leaving the tools they already use every day. Leaders share announcements and hold conversations at scale, while remote and frontline staff stay connected to company-wide discussion.
You buy Viva Engage as a prepaid 12-month subscription, priced per user. An administrator assigns a licence to each employee in the Microsoft 365 admin centre, and the subscription expires at the end of the term unless you order again.

Activation
We email your Microsoft Viva Engage subscription details right after purchase, with instructions to add it to your tenant.
A tenant administrator signs in to the Microsoft 365 admin centre and applies the Viva Engage subscription to your organisation.
Assign a Viva Engage licence to each employee under Users in the admin centre. Every user also needs an active Microsoft 365 licence.
Licensed users open Viva Engage in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, the mobile app, or at the Engage website to start joining communities.

Yes. Every licence is a genuine Microsoft product, supplied through the authorized Microsoft CSP channel, with activation support if you ever need it.
