Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how MagicBly LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on magicbly.com. It sets out the categories of cookies we use, their purpose, how long they last, the legal basis for using them, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent at any time. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which you should read for full details of how we process your personal data.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) when you visit a website. It allows the site to recognise your browser, remember certain information and make your browsing experience smoother.

We also use similar technologies such as pixels, web beacons, local storage (localStorage) and session identifiers. For simplicity, the term "cookies" on this page refers to all of these technologies.

Cookies may be set by us ("first-party" cookies) or by third-party service providers we work with ("third-party" cookies).

Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies — Essential for the website to function: security, fraud prevention, session management, the cart and checkout process, load balancing and remembering your consent preferences. The site cannot work properly without them. Typical duration: from session to 12 months. Source: mainly first-party. These cookies do not require your consent.

Preference cookies — Remember your choices (language, currency, region, display settings) to give you a personalised experience. Typical duration: 1 to 12 months. Source: first-party, sometimes third-party.

Analytics / performance cookies — Help us understand how the site is used (pages visited, journeys, errors) so we can improve its content and performance. Data is aggregated wherever possible. Typical duration: from session to 24 months. Source: first- and third-party.

Marketing cookies — Allow us to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and, where relevant, to show you relevant advertising on other sites. Typical duration: 30 days to 13 months. Source: mainly third-party.

Cookies we set today

Today, the only cookies set directly by magicbly.com are strictly necessary:

• Authentication session cookie (httpOnly, secure) — keeps you signed in and protects your account. Duration: the session.

• Cart cookie — keeps the items in your basket during your visit. Duration: the session.

• mb_cookie_consent — remembers your cookie preferences so we don’t ask again. Duration: 12 months.

We currently set no analytics, performance or marketing cookies. Should we add any, they would only run with your prior consent.

Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies rely on our legitimate interest in providing a secure, functional website; they do not require your consent.

All other cookies — preferences, analytics/performance and marketing — are set only with your prior, freely given, informed and specific consent, in accordance with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. No non-essential cookie is activated until you have given your agreement, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Managing or withdrawing your consent

On your first visit, a consent banner lets you accept, reject or customise non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time through the "Cookie settings" link available on the site.

You can also control cookies directly in your browser: block, delete or be notified when they are set. The steps vary by browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and are described in its help or privacy menu.

Refusing or deleting strictly necessary cookies may degrade certain features of the site, in particular the cart and checkout process.

Third parties that may set cookies

Payment (Stripe and PayPal) — Checkout happens by redirect to Stripe’s secure pages (checkout.stripe.com) and to PayPal. These providers set their own cookies on their own domains — not on magicbly.com — notably for the payment session and fraud prevention. Such cookies are necessary for the payment service you request and are governed by Stripe’s and PayPal’s cookie policies.

Authentication (Firebase Authentication, Google) — used for secure sign-in to your account via strictly-necessary session cookies.

Trust verification (TrustedSite) — displays our security certification; this service may set a technical cookie required for it to work.

Hosting (Vercel Inc.) — may set technical cookies strictly necessary for site security and delivery.

These third parties act under their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

Products and delivery

MagicBly sells only 100% genuine software licences (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.). All our products are delivered digitally and instantly by email: there is no physical shipment. Cookies linked to your order are used solely to secure and complete your digital purchase.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices, our technology or applicable law. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised last-updated date. We encourage you to review it regularly.
